Side by side

What you are comparing SvarKlar Claude
What it is One AI employee that answers your texts, web leads, and missed callers. Live AI voice available. A general AI assistant for chat, writing, and code. Anthropic's own words: "the trusted assistant for you to do your best work." source
Published pricing One price shaped to your shop, in writing after a quick talk. Free. Pro is $17/mo billed yearly or $20/mo billed monthly. Max starts at $100/mo for more usage. source
Who answers your customer Fred sets it up to answer on its own. Nobody on your team has to open anything. You open the app and type to it. It does not check your phone, texts, or web form for you. source
Hours 24/7, replies in seconds. The app is always up, but it only responds once someone opens it and asks. Answering around the clock takes custom building. source
Channels Texts, web forms, social messages, and missed-call text-back. Live AI voice available. Chat on web, iOS, and Android, plus a desktop app, browser extension, and Slack or Microsoft 365 integration. No native phone, text, or missed-call channel. source
Turning it into a receptionist Fred wires it into what you already use. Possible through the Claude Platform API. Anthropic's own guide shows building a support agent with code and tool calls. source
Contracts and fees Month to month. Leave any time. Cancel anytime; it ends at your current billing period, with no cancellation fee. source
Guarantee A satisfaction guarantee, every customer. You deal with Fred directly and set the terms on the call. Payments are non-refundable by policy, with a 14-day exception for customers in the EEA and UK. source
Usage limits Every lead gets a reply. There is no cap on how many. Free and paid plans both carry usage limits. Anthropic's own help page does not publish the exact message counts. source
Scale and attention One founder, not a big platform. Fred takes fewer clients at a time, so each gets more of his attention. Built by Anthropic, trained to be safe and accurate, serving individuals, enterprises, education, and government alike. source
Built for US service businesses: trades, home services, local firms. General purpose, not built around any one trade. Anthropic's own homepage lists educators, developers, healthcare, legal, and government among its users. source

A lot of owners ask the same question before they book a call. Why not just use Claude myself? Claude is a genuinely good AI assistant. Anthropic built it, and it has earned its reputation. The honest answer is not about quality. It is about what happens between a customer trying to reach you, and something answering back.

Claude, in Anthropic's own words

Claude is Anthropic's assistant. Anthropic calls it "the trusted assistant for you to do your best work." It chats, writes, generates code, reads files, and searches the web. You can talk to it on the web, on iOS, or on Android. A desktop app is also available. Slack, Microsoft 365, and a Chrome extension are supported too.

The free plan covers chat, code, and file creation at no cost. Pro runs $17 a month billed yearly, or $20 month to month. It adds Claude Code, more usage, and access to more models. Max starts at $100 a month, for five or twenty times the usage of Pro. Anthropic publishes all of this on its own pricing page.

The part Claude does not do by itself

Here is the gap. Claude is something you open and talk to. It does not watch your phone for a missed call. It does not read an incoming text. It does not sit on your website, waiting for a lead to fill out a form. Anthropic's own channel list is chat on the web, iOS, Android, a desktop app, and a few workplace integrations. None of that catches a live call or a text.

That is exactly what a general assistant is built to do. But it means the tool only works the moment someone opens it and starts typing. If nobody on your team is free to do that when a caller hangs up at 6 PM, Claude never sees it.

Building a receptionist out of Claude is a coding project

Anthropic knows businesses want more than chat. That is what the Claude Platform is for: a raw API you or a developer build on top of. Anthropic's own guide shows how to wire Claude into looking up orders, handling cancellations, and routing requests. It takes code and tool calls that plug into your systems. That path is real, but it is a build, not a signup.

You would need someone who can write that integration. They would connect it to your calendar and your phone system, then keep it running as things change. For most trade and home-service shops, that is a full engineering project stacked on top of a chat subscription. It is not something you finish on a Tuesday afternoon.

What it costs, and what is missing from the number

The subscription price is the easy part to compare. Free costs nothing. Pro is $17 to $20 a month. Max starts at $100. What the pricing page leaves out is a guarantee. Anthropic's own refund policy says payments are non-refundable, with a 14-day exception for customers in the EEA and UK. There is no published satisfaction guarantee on a Pro or Max plan.

Usage limits are real too, even though the exact numbers are not published anywhere. Anthropic's help center confirms paid plans get more usage than free, without stating the message counts. If your team leans on Claude through a busy day, you are working inside a limit you cannot see ahead of time.

SvarKlar works differently on both counts. The price is shaped to your shop on a call. Every customer gets a satisfaction guarantee, agreed directly with Fred. There is no message cap, because answering every lead is the whole job.

Where Claude wins

If you want a tool to draft quotes, answer technical questions, or write follow-up messages, Claude is a strong pick. It is flexible and affordable, and Anthropic keeps improving it. If you or someone on your team can code, and you want to build a custom support tool over time, the API is documented and ready.

Where SvarKlar wins

Our take, and we are the ones selling it: if your business loses jobs to missed calls, unanswered texts, and web leads nobody got back to fast enough, Claude by itself does not fix that. Somebody still has to open it. SvarKlar is built to answer the moment the lead comes in, at 2 AM or 2 PM, without you touching it. Fred sets it up once and keeps it running, so it still works on the days you do not have five minutes to spare.

Claude and SvarKlar are not really competing for the same job. Claude is a tool you drive yourself. SvarKlar is an employee that drives itself, built and run by its founder so you do not have to.

Next step

A call is a short look at your inbound together: what Claude could handle if you ran it yourself, and what changes when something runs it for you. If a DIY setup is genuinely the better fit for your shop, Fred will say so.
