RingCentral AI Receptionist pricing, worked out
On its own, AIR starts at $49 a month with 100 minutes included. With RingEX, RingCentral's pricing page shows $39 for AIR plus $30 for a RingEX Core plan, so one Core user billed monthly costs $69. Core billed annually is $20, which makes $59. RingCentral's May 2026 blog announced the lower $49 price.
Take 180 minutes in a month, which is 60 calls of 3 minutes. That is 80 minutes over the 100 included, at $0.50: $40. Standalone, $49 plus $40 is $89. With one RingEX Core user at the monthly rate, $39 plus $30 plus $40 is $109. Minutes are rounded up to 30-second steps, so real bills can run higher. RingEX bills also add taxes and fees, such as the E911 Service Fee and state and local taxes. This is illustrative arithmetic from RingCentral's published rates, not a forecast.
SvarKlar is $295 a month. Setup free. Cancel any time. It does not bill by minute.
RingCentral AIR vs AIR Pro: what is the difference?
RingCentral's community post calls AIR the AI Receptionist and AIR Pro the AI Representative. RingCentral's July 2026 recap puts it simply. AIR does front-desk work: FAQs, booking, routing calls and simple workflows. AIR Pro takes multi-step requests, CRM connections and industry workflows. AIR Pro is built in AIR Pro Studio, with connections to over 100 CRM and backend systems, including healthcare records.
RingCentral's July 2026 recap says AIR Pro is in early access. The community post says it needs RingEX or RingCX, RingCentral's contact center. Its AIR Pro terms list RingCentral Direct customers in the US, Canada and Australia, and say implementation and support cost extra. AIR's pricing page says no professional services are required. RingCentral's AI Session rates page prices it at $1.00 per session on US RingEX accounts, with each call minute rounded up, so a 3 minute 15 second call is 4 sessions. At that rate, 60 calls of exactly 3 minutes is $180, before the RingEX plan. Prepaid session bundles are priced on the order form. The pricing page lists only AIR, so the $39 and $49 figures above are for AIR, not AIR Pro. Early access has limited space, and you apply to join. RingCentral names healthcare, retail, legal, automotive and logistics, not trades.
RingEX pricing: what does RingEX Advanced cost?
RingCentral's RingEX page lists Advanced at $35 per user a month billed monthly, or $25 billed annually. Core is $30 monthly and $20 annually. Ultra is $45 monthly and $35 annually. AIR is an add-on on each plan. With one Advanced user at the monthly rate, AIR at $39 brings the entry cost to $74 a month.
Does RingCentral have AI dispatch?
Not as a feature. RingCentral's AIR blog describes a busy dispatch line: when staff are on other jobs, AIR captures job details and urgency so dispatch can prioritize callbacks. The AI Receptionist page describes directing calls by names, locations and keywords, and handing off with a call summary. It can send urgent calls to an on-call extension or outside number, on rules you set. Neither says AIR sends a job to a technician or into your field-service software.
RingCentral AI Receptionist limits
The AIR pricing page marks its AI SMS agent "Additional charges may apply". AI text answering became generally available in August 2026, in shared inboxes. RingCentral's June 2026 recap said it needed an SMS license as well as AIR. Shared inboxes come with the Business SMS Booster, listed at $25. Before AIR can send texts, your number must be registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR). RingCentral says review usually takes 5 to 20 business days. Carriers and vetting agencies charge registration fees; RingCentral adds none. AIR can ask a caller's consent before it sends a text. WhatsApp and Shopify are marked coming soon.
RingCentral's AIR pages name no job software, such as ServiceTitan, Jobber or Housecall Pro (AIR pricing).
RingCentral AI Receptionist alternatives
Jobber: its AI Receptionist is $29 a month with 30 conversations, then $0.79 each (Jobber Receptionist help), on top of a software plan from $29 a month billed annually, or $49 with no commitment (Jobber pricing).
Housecall Pro: plans run $59, $149 and $299 a month billed annually (Housecall Pro pricing). Its phone answering add-on has no published price.
ServiceTitan: its AI Voice Agent costs $2.75 a call, and its SMS Agent $0.10 a message (ServiceTitan pricing). ServiceTitan does not publish its core software price.
Smith.ai: its AI Receptionist has a free plan with 25 calls a month, then $3.00 a call. Pro is $150 a month for 75 calls, then $2.50 a call.
Dialpad: its AI Agent is $1.99 per voice conversation and $0.99 per digital conversation. Phone plans start at $15 a user a month billed annually. Dialpad does not say which phone plan its AI Agent needs.
Nextiva: XBert is $99 a month for 100 conversations, then $1.50 each. It works alone or on a Nextiva phone plan. Phone plans start at $15 a user a month billed annually.
SvarKlar: $295 a month. Setup free. Cancel any time. It answers calls and messages, and texts back each missed caller.
Where RingCentral fits
It fits a shop that wants voice AI on RingEX or another phone system. Test it with your real caller questions, then check transfers, booking and usage before choosing a plan.
Where SvarKlar fits
We make SvarKlar, so weigh this part with that in mind. It fits a shop that wants calls and messages answered without a new phone plan or per-minute charges. It works in front of the phone system and job software you already use. It can also book jobs, send quotes and follow up, if your order covers that. If you are still sorting the options, our guides cover what an AI receptionist is and the best AI receptionist for service businesses.
RingCentral adds AIR features most months, so check its AIR pricing page before you buy.
Callers say what they need, and AIR answers from your website, FAQs and documents. It can take lead details, book through your calendar and send a follow-up text. When a caller needs a person, it routes the call with the details. On RingEX, you route your numbers to its extension. On another phone system, you forward calls to it.

Can RingCentral AI Receptionist answer only when no one picks up?
Yes, on RingEX. Set a user's "If no answer" rule to send calls to AIR. Since March 2026, a call queue can send calls to AIR when no member is free, the queue is full or the wait runs out. It can also answer only after hours, on rules you set. On another phone system, you forward calls to it. Sources: March 2026 release notes and RingCentral AI Receptionist.
Test it with your own callers' questions before you choose. G2 reviewers rate it 4.4 of 5 from 42 reviews. G2 marks many of them as invited by RingCentral, with an incentive. Gartner Peer Insights shows 4.6 of 5 from 29 ratings. GetVoIP's October 2025 review lists three drawbacks. It answers basic FAQs and simple processes, not complex questions. It costs extra on top of a RingCentral phone plan. And it cannot work with another phone system. The last two points and its $59 price are out of date: RingCentral now sells AIR alone for $49, for any phone.
