How the math works

Jobs lost per week are your missed calls per week, times the share that would have booked. Revenue lost per week is those jobs, times your average job value.

  • Per week: missed calls, times the share of callers who would book, times job value.
  • Per month: the weekly number, times 52, divided by 12.
  • Per year: the weekly number, times 52.

With the example numbers, 10 missed calls a week and half that would book gives 5 jobs. At $500 a job, that is $2,500 a week, $10,833 a month and $130,000 over 52 weeks. It is revenue before labor, parts and other costs.

An empty box counts as zero. The percent stops at 100.

What to do with the number

Use your call log for missed calls and your booking records for the share. Use what a typical job is worth to you. If you do not have records yet, treat the result as a scenario, not a fact.
